Do you remember that fairytale.. The Princess and the Pea?!? For those that don't, the princess is traveling and needs a place to sleep for the night. She arrives at the corner castle where she's greeted by the prince and her soon to be mother-in-law. Said, mother-in-law doubts her royal blood and shacks her up on a mountain high pile of mattresses with a pea underneath the bottom. The theory being that if she were really who she said she was, she'd feel the pea.

So.. my next question is this.. are you the prince - the trusting open-hearted party, the princess - the one who announces herself and assumes everyone is on board with it, or the mother-in-law - the one who doubts everyone?

The Mother-In-Law puts everyone through tests. Tests of loyalty or tests of service. Acceptance is not in her way. Of the parties involved, to me at least, this is the worst one to be.

By acting in this way, you are denied the joys acceptance.
