So its been a really busy, crazy kind of busy at that.. week. I've had a lot to do.. getting things organized.
A funny thing happened though. Someone I used to be very attached to said hello again. Gosh, this is about 2-1/2 years ago or more.. He and I had been very close and getting closer by the day. And then one fateful weekend, I was an obstinate little shit and pushed him away. And so he went. I honestly thought I'd never hear from him again. Ever.
And yet, here he was. There was a 'Hi'. There has been some idle chat. His life is in a different place now as is mine. But still. Its a surprising turn of events.
Hindsight is 20/20 but the reality is, I think things happened back then for a reason. It was painful at the time but I think we've both learned something from it.

I am pleased to see that time to reflect has allowed you to see that casually discarding people from your life may not be the optimal choice.
Although I don't practice or condone name calling, your own words stated that you were an "obstinate little shit" to your friend thus causing him to walk away.
I am still patiently awaiting receipt of my apology for a similar set of events. Although I do think of you sometimes, wonder how you are doing, and once in a blue moon (which ironically we happen to have tonight) read some about you on one of your profiles or blogs, I still maintain my silence because I know that my desire to feed our friendship through further contact is not as important as your need to learn of the consequences when you lash out in ugly, name calling ways at those who know you well.
I hope that 2010 turns out to be a very good year for you.
